Terms of Service

Last updated: October 1, 2026

These Terms govern your use of Hey Stella, a business workspace operated by Mektra at heystella.io. By using Hey Stella, you agree to these Terms. If you use it for a business, you represent that you have authority to do so.

This page provides information about Hey Stella and is not legal advice. Consult a qualified professional about your own legal obligations.

1. The Hey Stella service

Hey Stella helps authorized workspace members manage people, companies, deals, tasks, native calendar events, communications and business context. Stella accepts text instructions and, where enabled, voice input to retrieve information or carry out supported actions. Connected services can add synchronization or delivery capabilities.

Features depend on workspace activation, permissions, provider availability and rollout status. Hey Stella is not a promise of unrestricted automation, a complete replacement for every connected service, or a guaranteed source of business outcomes. A catalog listing, integration request, draft, recording control or proposed action does not establish that a feature is live or that an external action succeeded.

2. Accounts, capacity and workspace authority

You must be legally able to enter a binding agreement in your jurisdiction, provide accurate account information and have permission to use the business records and services you connect. Hey Stella is intended for business use and is not directed to children. Do not share sign-in credentials or use another person’s account without authorization.

Workspace owners and authorized administrators manage memberships and roles. You must respect those boundaries and promptly remove access that is no longer appropriate. Joining or leaving a workspace does not transfer ownership of all its records or require the removal of its shared business history.

Google sign-in establishes your Hey Stella identity through the authentication provider. It does not connect your Gmail or Calendar, grant sensitive service permissions, or require a Replit account.

3. Your data and responsibility

You retain your rights in content you submit, subject to the rights of your business, customers and other rights holders. You grant Mektra and the service providers needed to operate Hey Stella a limited right to process, store, transmit and display that content to provide the service, carry out your authorized instructions and protect the service. This is not a transfer of ownership of your CRM data.

You are responsible for the accuracy, legality and appropriate sharing of customer details, notes, recordings, communications and imported data. Obtain required permissions and notices, including any consent needed to record another person or contact a recipient. Do not submit secrets, payment-card details or highly sensitive regulated data unless an appropriate arrangement explicitly supports that use.

Maintain copies of important business information and use available exports where appropriate. An archive or partial CSV export is not a complete backup, legal hold, account export or permanent erasure mechanism.

4. AI, voice and action review

AI-assisted interpretations and responses can be incomplete, incorrect or unsuitable for your circumstances. Review record matches, dates, recipients, amounts, drafts and proposed changes before relying on them. Hey Stella is not a provider of legal, medical, financial or other licensed professional advice, and it should not be used as the sole basis for decisions with significant effects on people.

Some supported native actions can apply your direct instruction immediately. Model-proposed mutations and supported external sends use review or confirmation steps where the product provides them. Do not assume every action has the same approval mechanism or that a response alone proves completion.

Voice requires an available provider and your microphone permission. Transcripts can mishear names, numbers and instructions. Review the editable transcript before sending it; sending turns it into an ordinary Stella instruction. You must obtain any permission needed to capture another person’s voice. Playback, transcription and recording availability are not guaranteed.

5. Communications and external actions

You are responsible for the content, recipients, consent and lawful purpose of communications sent through Hey Stella. Do not use the service for unsolicited bulk messaging, deceptive outreach, harassment or activity that violates communications or marketing laws or a provider’s rules.

A draft is not a sent message. Sending, calendar changes and other external actions can affect people and systems outside Hey Stella and may be difficult or impossible to reverse. Review confirmations carefully. Provider acceptance, synchronization status or an action receipt does not guarantee delivery, recipient reading, calendar attendance or business results.

If an action has an uncertain outcome, check the stored status and the connected service before attempting it again. Do not bypass confirmation or retry safeguards. Message attachments, SMS and other channels may have limited functionality or remain unavailable until a supported provider is connected.

6. Google and third-party integrations

Service connections are separate from sign-in. You authorize only the accounts, scopes and workspace actions you are entitled to authorize. Gmail access can support reading/synchronizing messages and confirmed sends. Google Calendar access can support selected-calendar synchronization and supported event creation, updates and cancellations.

Connected services have their own terms, permissions, fees, outages and data practices. Hey Stella cannot guarantee their availability or continued API access. Disconnecting stops future connection use but does not reverse completed sends or edits, automatically erase imported workspace records, or revoke permissions through every provider’s account settings.

An integration request is a request for future support, not an active connection or a grant of authority. No third-party catalog entry gives Stella permission to act without a valid supported connection and the necessary server-side authorization.

7. Acceptable use

You must not use Hey Stella to:

  • Violate applicable law, another person’s rights, confidentiality obligations or connected-provider rules.
  • Commit fraud, impersonate people, send spam, harass others or distribute malware or unlawful content.
  • Access another workspace, private communication, connected account or record without permission.
  • Probe, bypass or disable authentication, tenant isolation, rate limits, confirmation steps or other security controls without prior authorization.
  • Use automation to overload the service, scrape data you are not entitled to obtain, or interfere with other users.
  • Use AI outputs or voice features deceptively, including unauthorized voice impersonation or decisions that require qualified human review.

8. Privacy and security

The Hey Stella Privacy Policy explains account, workspace, CRM, AI, voice, communications and integration data handling. Workspace members may see information permitted by their roles and the applicable record or connection controls. Do not connect a personal calendar to a shared workspace unless its imported events are appropriate to share.

We use access controls and other safeguards designed to protect the service, but cannot guarantee that no incident will occur. Report suspected unauthorized access or security concerns promptly to heystella@mektra.ai. You remain responsible for account security and the access granted to members and connected services.

9. Fees and separate agreements

These Terms do not enroll you in a paid subscription or authorize a charge by themselves. If a paid Hey Stella plan is offered, pricing, billing frequency, renewal, cancellation and refund terms must be disclosed when you purchase it. Connected-service charges are governed by the relevant provider’s agreement.

A separately executed agreement may govern a particular workspace or service arrangement. Where that agreement expressly changes these Terms for that arrangement, it controls to that extent. Nothing here creates an unannounced auto-renewal obligation or refund policy.

10. Availability, changes and warranties

Hey Stella can change, limit or discontinue features, and can experience maintenance, outages, provider failures, delays and synchronization conflicts. Beta, preview or unavailable features may not be suitable for critical operations. No uptime, uninterrupted access, complete synchronization or error-free AI guarantee is made unless a separate agreement expressly provides it.

To the extent permitted by law, Hey Stella is provided “as is” and “as available,” without implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. These limitations do not remove warranties or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11. Limits on liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Mektra is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from use of Hey Stella, such as lost profits, business opportunities or interruption. You should not depend on Hey Stella as your only record store or only control for critical communications and scheduling.

To the extent permitted by law, Mektra’s aggregate liability for claims arising from Hey Stella is limited to the greater of the fees you paid for Hey Stella in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim or US$100. This does not limit liability for fraud, deliberate misconduct or any liability or mandatory right that applicable law does not permit us to limit.

12. Suspension, leaving and deletion requests

You may stop using Hey Stella and disconnect supported integrations. Contact heystella@mektra.ai for account or workspace closure and data requests; these are not currently universal self-service controls. We must verify identity and workspace authority and consider other members’ rights and applicable retention obligations.

We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to respond to a material violation, security threat, unlawful activity or a binding legal requirement. Where practical and lawful, we will explain the issue and allow an opportunity to address it. Immediate restriction may be necessary to protect people, data or the service.

Stopping use, losing membership or closing an account does not automatically remove shared workspace records, audit history, backups or copies already held by recipients and connected services. The Privacy Policy describes these distinctions. Terms that logically need to survive, including content rights, applicable payment obligations and liability limits, continue after access ends.

13. Product rights, applicable law and contact

Hey Stella’s software, branding, designs and service materials belong to Mektra or its licensors. Your permission to use the service does not grant ownership of those materials. This does not change your rights in your submitted content or third-party materials.

These Terms apply subject to applicable law and mandatory consumer or privacy rights. They do not select an unconfirmed incorporation jurisdiction, require arbitration or remove rights that applicable law protects. Please contact heystella@mektra.ai about a dispute so we can try to resolve it.

We may update these Terms as the service or legal requirements change. The updated date identifies the version. Material changes will receive additional notice where required by law. For Hey Stella support or questions about these Terms, email heystella@mektra.ai.
